Billable Time and Payment Terms*
Hourly Projects are billed in up to 6 hour increments every two weeks. A $300 retainer fee is collected for projects estimated to take more than 6 hours. Hourly rates are charged at $100/hr.
Emergency & Weekend Rate- $175 minimum, $125/hr
Client emergencies are defined, but not limited to:
- Site going down (white screen)
- Database error connections
- Hacking or security errors
- Inability to accept payment due to errors or site changes
- Required turnaround time within 24 hours
(1) A 50% deposit will be due upon execution of this contract.
(2) 20% payment at the completion of Phase I.
(3) 20% payment at the completion of Phase II.
(4) Final 10% payment will be due upon completion of Phase III.
Maintenance is intended to provide support and ongoing security and optimal performance for a client’s website after completion of website design. A one-time, $100 setup fee is charged in preparation for maintenance, which includes additions of plugins, settings, updates, and possible troubleshooting. Maintenance includes security monitoring; backups; updates to plugins, theme, and core WordPress; database and WordPress optimization.

Invoices are sent via Paypal and payments are due upon receipt of invoice. Failure to pay within 14 days will result in an email notification or phone call as a reminder. If invoice is not paid within 30 days, a 10% late fee will be added and 2% interest accrued monthly.

All communication with clients is typically done via phone, email, or online chat, and is billable time. Client shall promptly respond to Contractor’s inquiries in a reasonable time, not to exceed 7 business days. In order to complete a website timely and efficiently manage workload, Client must respond within reasonable timeframe stated above after initial and follow up attempts have been made by Simply Styled Sites. If Client does not respond in timely manner, Client may lose position in work queue or risk termination of project.
Client shall attend scheduled meetings and calls with Contractor and not unreasonably fail to attend scheduled meetings.
Neither the failure nor any delay on the part of Contractor to exercise any right, remedy, power or privilege under this agreement shall operate as a waiver thereof, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right, remedy, power or privilege preclude any other or further exercise of any other power of privilege with respect to any subsequent occurrence.
All client information, including email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, username and passwords are kept confidential and not shared, distributed, or sold to any third parties.
Ownership and Control
Files, including backups, are stored within a shared dropbox account. Simply Styled Sites is not responsible, nor guarantee the availability or security of these files.
Client maintains ownership of their site at all times, including domain and hosting account, FTP, and database.
Simply Styled Sites reserves the right to include a hyperlink to our website, www.simplystyledsites.com, in the footer. We also may use any designed pages or customized designs in our Portfolio within site.
Additional Charges within Client’s Responsibility for building website
• Domain registration and hosting- approximately $120/yr
• SSL- approximately $79/yr
• Security- approximately $50/yr
• Email Services- approximately $60/yr
• Spam blocker- approximately $60/yr
• Theme purchase/license
Once the theme has been purchased and installed, all major attributes to layout, color, & look/feel will be final to this agreement. If we decide that our theme is not the right one after the initial purchase and install, you will be responsible for any new theme purchase costs and we will assume that layout, color, & look/feel are final.

Any changes initiated by Client or third party service provider causing loss of site functionality or design will incur billable time for Contractor to troubleshoot, reinstate, or resolve any issues.
Additional services not provided by Contractor include:
Email design, invoice designs, additional landing pages, other 3rd party website integrations not previously discussed, SEO management, marketing strategy consultation (including social media) content creation, or business development.
If Client requires additional services or maintenance more than outlined in original scope, Client must sign and enter into a new and separate retainer/monthly maintenance fee, or project rate which may be determined based on Client’s needs and efforts as agreed upon.
It is expressly understood that Simply Styled Sites will perform the following:
- Create an operational homepage to attract customers with clear and organized navigation.
- Create a clear understanding at visitors’ first glance what services and products are provided as well as general knowledge of the Company.
- Create a clear call-to-action for marketing efforts.
- Create a simple contact form.
- Create a mobile responsive site.
In no event shall Simply Styled Sites be liable for any damages including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or other losses arising out of the use of, or inability of clients to use or edit their website, or actions that results from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of files, errors, defects, delays in operation, or transmission or any failure of performance
You expressly agree that use of Simply Styled Site’s services is at your sole risk and you will personally test and accept the results of the services promptly after the completion of the services by Simply Styled Sites.
Refunds & Cancellations
Simply Styled Sites provides a detailed Proposal to the Client prior to hiring us for your project. As a courtesy to our Clients, we outline each project into measurable steps and clearly define a payment structure to be made at each step’s completion. Therefore, all payments made are non-refundable.
If Client terminates the project prior to completion, Client shall pay Simply Styled Sites for services already performed, as calculated and determined by Simply Styled Sites.
If we receive a chargeback or payment dispute (i.e. PayPal Dispute) from a credit card company or bank, your service and/or project will be suspended without notice. A $50 chargeback fee (issued to recover fees passed on to us by the credit company), plus any outstanding balances accrued as a result of the chargeback(s) must be paid in full before service is restored, files delivered, or any further work is done. Instead of issuing a chargeback, please contact us to address any billing issues or concerns.
Simply Styled Sites reserves the right disable and/or terminate a user’s account if a user is found in violation of the terms. Accounts terminated due to policy violations will not be refunded.
